Guardforce Macau was honoured to provide security support for Macau’s annual spectacular Macao International Parade 2019, organised by Macau’s Instituto Cultural de Macau (ICM) on December 8. This year’s parade adopted “Belt and Road” as theme, and celebrated the culture of the countries and regions along Belt and Road. A total of 80 local and overseas performing teams involving 1,800 artists took part in the parade. They marched from the Ruins of Saint Paul's to Praca do Lago Sai Van, and attracted about 150,000 spectators along the route.

Guardforce Macau, with its rich experience in supporting security for major events, deployed more than 100 security guards to help maintain order along the route and ensure the smooth operation of the parade. Guardforce Macau’s guarding teams have undergone stringent training, and some applied their expertise in first-aid, self-defence and crowd management to support major events.

Guardforce Macau was pleased to be a part of the major annual event and contributed to its success by ensuring all citizens and visitors could enjoy the joyful event in a safe setting.
