It was once said to always seek out the seed of triumph in every adversity and as the world still battles COVID-19, innovations in technology are helping us stay safe and secure. In this post, we will look at some of the most recent trends that are shaping security services in Macau and beyond.

Robotics

Innovations in robotics have seen them being deployed more and more in a variety of settings. Besides their core benefit of multi-functionality and labour optimization, they are now proving invaluable in the fight against COVID-19. Because they are designed to take away many arduous and risky tasks from humans, such as temperature checking, they are helping to protect frontline workers who would otherwise be more exposed to the virus.

Facial recognition and anti-wandering solutions

Advanced facial recognition has been broadly in use for some time and can be integrated into many devices for various purposes. Though a powerful tool, there is still some debate about privacy when using facial recognition so operators do need to be aware of this while we wait for a consensus over its usage.
